If Thelma & Louise Were Quilter's Continued....

It was a week ago tomorrow, when the girl who never "gets out," went on an adventure with - yup, you guessed who by the title, Kim.  She got her post up while my posting was in cyberspace.  We had a great girlfriend time and we did what both of us like to do best - left our

projects behind - and hit the road in search of some quilt shops to be able to touch the fabric and enjoy to visions of creations rolling around in our heads.  Our first stop was at High Sierra Quilt shop.  They enjoyed having us as much as we enjoyed being there.  Kim really, really enjoyed being there... Her bags were bigger then mine when we headed out the door!  One of my finds there was a cute Apron Quilt pattern that is going to be so much fun to make out of thirties fabrics.

We were getting hungry and  they recommended a Burrito cafe across the parking lot where they eat regularly.  We figured, "Why not, they are still standing and had a good sense of humor to boot."  So off we went. We were on a roll by the time we hit there, we were not disappointed. They made the tastiest burrito that I have ever eaten.  Even more noteworthy were the two wheelchair "gals" that came in after we were seated.  They were a production that need all sorts of stage hands to get in and comfortably situated at a table.  It was not at all the accessibility of the cafe. etc., it was that they both were so loaded down from their "adventures" and acquisitions.  They were dressed to the nines with all the accessories they could get on, purses, bags, flags and plants were all attached in every way imaginable.  They captured our attention and our hearts.  On our way out we noticed their opening of many bags and chatting about their treasures.  It was a moment in time that was precious and they invited us in and shared with us.  They both are cancer survivors and they both are terminal.  Both radiated life and optimism AND they both are an example to get out and live with what ever and however you are.  So sweet were they, that they let us take pictures.  I will add some now, because a picture is worth a thousand words.  (I apologize about the picture layout tonight - I have spent far too much time trying to figure it out - I know you have been there and done that, sorry.)

Over and out.  I have to figure this out tomorrow.
I have I Photo, if anyone has had any experience with transferring photos to blogspot I would appreciate your advice.
