does anyone know where these two talented ladies are now?

Picture of the quilt I am "learning Primitive" with.
And from the best teacher in this discipline - Gretchen Jennings. Gretchen lives in our area and has taught the "primitive art" for years on the West coast. When we opened Fabric Garden Gretchen was a must have on our schedule. We are blessed to have all of her 70 years with us and her vast experience in the "art of primitive." Her kindness, and energy are an inspiration to us all.
From time to time I will share this primitive journey of mine and the fun it has been and is. i.e. field trips with Kim and wonderful days spent around my kitchen table with friends who have walked the "primitive walk" before me.
Have you dipped your toe in the "waters of primitive" and learned the things I am now getting excited about? I would love to hear your comments.

The Country Threads ladies are still going strong in Garner, Iowa. They have a website and a fun store in the country, on a farm with goats, chickens, etc. It's a fun place to visit.

No I haven't made any primitive quilts, but I really do admire them. Most of them seem to have wool, and I am afraid of adding another category of fabric in my stash. The one you are working on is really pretty.
That book is where my Garden Ladies for my quilt came from. Love that book. Many long years ago I a tiny bit of primitive.
I have single patterns of that exact quilt when it was sold as BOM through quilt shops. Then a few years later it was published into a book. I've always loved that one...just never got to it! I love prim and old looking....my house is decorated prim and old.
