The Inn at Spanish Peaks

Looking at the back of the Inn.
Breakfast being served by Frank - Inn Keeper.
He is a hoot and very nice.
Tracy making final touches to the breakfast. She is a bright, kind and charming lady.
She and Frank have been Inn-Keepers here for 13 years.
I am going to get this recipe!  It was delicious.
I needed a nap this afternoon and what should I see out in the back yard - an apple tree.  Yup, you guessed it!
I sitting there in the afternoon sun studying for my class and heard the tree calling - "Nap Time, it's Nap Time!"
Grabbed a couple of pillows off my bed and a spare sheet, gathered my books and a timer.  It was a heavenly time.  Quiet, not much reading happened and I don't remember any apples dropping on me.  You can see them in the grass.
The gang is all here.  Two Australians, two from New Hampshire and two from California.  We had a great introduction with Judith and then she was off to an appointment and we all went out to dinner to really get acquainted.  Lots of good times are going to be had
by this lovely bunch of coconuts!)
It was a great beginning!

What a lucky lady you are! Can't wait to hear about your trip. Maybe, we will have to get together, Thelma, Louise, Lucy and Ethel to hear all about it and catch up over dinner!! Have a wonderful time, I know you are! Hugs!!

I'm so glad you are having a wonderful time. My son lives in Denver and I have visited there twice in the past year. Ruth's Stitchery is indeed amazing!!!

Wow, hope you're having the best time ever! I'm jealous!!!! I'm stuck here with a new school year starting - 20+ four-and-five-year-olds. Sounds fun, huh? LOL

It looks like you're having a wonderful time! And I can't believe AUSTRALIANS have come to the US for stitchery! I guess they heard about your instructions to "fall in love with US designers," eh? Make sure you tell us more--I hope you're not so worn out each day you can't blog!

Gran, I am sure that you are having a fabulous time at Judith's class. I have admired her work for a long time and have one of her books. Her sister Karen used to teach at a local store called Earthly Goods. She did beautiful dolls and some crazy quilt stitching too. It looks like a wonderful spot for a getaway.
I will look forward to reading about your Crazy quilt adventures-
Perhaps the acorn button will still turn up.
Warmest regards,
Anna
